The coronavirus has seriously affected college admissions as well as many other aspects of our lives. One of the most impacted components is standardized testing. Testing for Fall of 2021 has been scheduled for November 6th (U.S. only) and December 4th. Test dates for Spring 2022 are March 12th, May 7th, and June 4th (U.S. only).

Certain SAT testing areas may have reduced or limited testing capacity. Most centers have less testing seats available due to social distancing policies and initiatives. Thus, registering early is essential to ensure that students can get a spot on their desired testing date. There are deadlines and late registration with fees that should be avoided, especially since spots are limited this testing season.

ACT fall 2021 test dates are September 11th, October 23rd, and December 11th. Spring 2022 dates are February 12th, April 2nd, June 11th, and July 16th. Students should make sure to register on the ACT website on time or face late-fees and the possibility of not getting a spot on the date they want. Social distancing measures and health precautions have been put into affect at testing locations.

Many colleges are changing testing policies and several are becoming completely test optional for the Class of 2025 application cycle. Others are extending deadlines, although some colleges have not altered their policies. It is important to research a college's particular policy on their website.
