Letters of Recommendation
Strong letters of recommendation reinforce character, integrity, academic strength, and leadership. Great letters can improve chances of admission; weak ones can hurt.
What Colleges Look For
- Strong moral character and integrity
- Student described as one of the best
- Positive mindset and strong work ethic
- Leadership and impact
- Specific, non-generic examples
How to Get a Letter Writer
Choose a teacher who knows you well and can write a strong letter. Ask if they can write a strong recommendation (not just “a letter”). Provide a resume and school list so they understand competitiveness.
